Blair Eddins will officially be sworn in as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives on October 1st, filling the remainder of Jeffrey Elmore’s term following his recent resignation. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on October 1, 2024, at 5:30pm at the Community Commons Park in downtown Wilkesboro.
Eddins was nominated to fill the role on September 19th, and the North Carolina General Assembly received a proclamation from the Governor on September 24th appointing him to the seat. Eddins, who remains on the ballot in November for a term beginning in January of 2025, will represent District 94, comprised of the majority of Wilkes County and all of Alexander County. His appointment marks a pivotal moment for the district, ensuring continued representation and leadership during this transitional period.

Members of the public are invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held outdoors at the Community Commons Park under the Wilkes Communications Pavilion in historic downtown Wilkesboro, NC.
